A good app for storing recipes with shopping list.
A plus: all pre-installed recipes can be deleted (and re-installed).
Adding new recipes is easy and simple.
The ingredient list is pure text and therefore simple and universal.
The categories can be edited, which makes them universal too.
Still, I would like to see a German localisation (this would add a fifth star).
I love this app, its pretty easy to handle, type in your own recipes or import from websites.
I love the step by step directions, you can mark steps youve done thats pretty comfortable and clearly.
Also sync, add to cart and "in the pantry" work really fine!
Im in germany and so it would be great, to be able to import from more foreign sites. Not because of the language, because of the ingredients. Some are not easy to get here ;) One of my suggestions was kochbar.de for example.
But what I miss more: it would be great if the app would calculate different servings! If your recipe is good for 4 servings, simply type in 6 serving and it calculates the ingredients :)

I love the fact that I can now have my recipes beamed from my iPad to my iPhone. They are at my finger tips when I am on the go and it is like an extra backup of them so if I ever have to get a new iPad again my recipes wont be lost by a pre upgrade backup overwriting my actual backup!
Love this app. Have it on my ipad and I bought The Recipe Box To Go as well. Very convenient to use. Easy to copy and paste recipes from various sources. I transferred the recipes from my iPad app to the new one in seconds, although I had 100 or more recipes to transfer.
Easy to use! Nice layout. I would like to see a spot for more types of recipes. I can see a spot for sauces/salsas but what about dips? Also the clock for prep time is abit confusing to use. Not sure if 1:30 is a minute thirty seconds or an hour and thirty minutes.
I love this app. I noticed it on a friends iPad and was very disappointed that there wasnt an iPhone version. Thank you for finally making one. Its so easy to put recipes in wether its my own or from a website. And the option to sync to all devices and send to friends is awesome. And the shopping list? A little jewel. This is a must for anyone who cooks. :)
Some bad moments
This app is a waste of money unless you want to learn how to make french toast or rum and coke,you do get a couple of recipes but not worth your two dollars
This app is terrible to use. Cant add recipes as easily as indicated! This is the ABSOLUTE WORST APP I have ever spent money on! Dont waste your time. I wish I could get a refund its that bad.
Doesnt work properly. The included recipes are just "whatever". I bought it because I wanted to be able to keep track of my own as well as add some from allrecipes. Spent quite a bit of time adding my recipes and they all saved blank. Same with the ones I tried to import. Even though the app claims to support importing from all recipes and others, it didnt work for me. Basically just wasted a few hours of my day for nothing but headache.
Since purchasing this app, I have not been able to open it which is unfortunate.
The update hangs on my iPad2 and 5s. I have to reset every time I use the shopping list even though I have done what they say to do. The new font and colours are a pain to read. Im not updating my IPad Air2! Thinking about switching to Epicurious. Any experience out there?
So disappointing. The functionality is all you really need but when you sync your iPhone to IPad especially with a large list, it falls apart. Sigh. Unstable app. I suggest you stay away from this and look for another application.
